Beyonce was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the Miami Children's Hospital Foundation for her generosity, and is a role model for others with influence.

The Miami Children's Hospital Foundation is a fantastic charity aimed at raising funds for the Hospital. There are children's hospitals in other parts of the country that would benefit from a similar foundation. The foundation provides a great forum for people to give their time and money to help children in need.

Beyonce Knowles, along with her bandmates in Destiny's Child,has helped to raise over $50 million dollars for children's causes. She has been very personally involved in The Ronald McDonald House Charities.

In 2005, Beyonce was a Global Ambassador for the charity, visiting Ronald McDonald Houses all over the world,to provide support and hope to terminally ill children. In addition to this, part of the proceeds from Destiny's Child ticket sales went directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charities that year.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities seek to improve the health and overall well-being of children all over the world. When a child is seriously ill or injured, Ronald McDonald House provides a place for the family to stay, and helps with treatment and recovery.

Since the first Ronald McDonald house was built in 1974, the program has grown dramatically to meet need, and there are now over 271 Ronald McDonald Houses in over 52 countries and regions all over the world.

Hugh Hefner has long been known as a generous contributor to a variety of charities. He is especially fond of the Autism charity Generation Rescue, which is supported by his close friend Jenny McCarthy.



Each year, Hefner hosts the "Leather Meets Lace" event at his own Los Angeles Playboy Mansion. All the money raised goes directly to Generation Rescue to support it's cause of Autism treatment and recovery.

Jenny McCarthy found Generation Rescue through a Google search when her son was diagnosed with autism. The organization was formed to unify a large group of research scientists, doctors, and parents who are dealing with autism. Generation Rescue seeks to help parents find the funds and assistance to treat autism, and to begin the process of recovery from autism.

Christian Bale recently held a charity event for a special screening of The Dark Knight. Proceeds of the event went to the Kanoe 4 Kids foundation in Australia, which supports the Make a Wish foundation.

The Make A Wish foundation does so much important work that helps kids throughout the world. He has shown time and time again that he is a skilled artist who delivers amazing performances on the screen. It is so good to see celebrities helping bring awareness to causes such as this.

The Lili Claire Foundation was founded to honor a little girl (Lili Claire Resnick) who died at only five and one half months old due to a birth defect most commonly known as Williams Syndrome. This goal of this charity is to enrich the lives of children with Williams Syndrome and other similar issues such as Down Syndrome and Autism.

Aniston is an avid supporter of many charities that support children and helping them cope with a wide variety of birth defects and diseases.

Hilary Duff has been one of the primary financial contributors to the USA Harvest program, which feeds thousands of people in need.

After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Hilary helped to distribute over 2.5 million meals to people in the affected areas of Mississippi and Louisiana. In addition to this, Duff is heavily involved in the "Blessings in a Backpack" program, which provides food for children in need. As children's causes are very close to her heart, Duff often personally helps fill backpacks with food for the kids.

The Blessings in a Backpack program is designed to help feed hungry children. While many kids are able to obtain proper nourishment through the week, thanks to school lunch and breakfast programs, these children sometimes have to go hungry, or not receive adequate nutrition, on the weekends. Blessings in a Backpack fills that void, filling the student's backpacks with non-perishable foods to carry them through the weekend.

Potia de Rossi, along with partner Ellen DeGeneres, attended the 10th annual anniversary gala of the Art of Elysium, held at Vibiana in Los Angeles, California. The Art of Elysium was founded to help give hope to terminally ill children by giving them a creative outlet, bringing in artists to teach them drawing, painting, and much more. 



Fund-raising events held each year include not just art shows, but concerts, comedy shows, and theatrical performances. 100% of the proceeds from the Gala each year go directly to the organization, which helps terminally ill children.
